摘要: 目前圖書館服務讀者的業務少有明文化的法律依據。在民風開放，法律意識高漲的今日社會，讀者要求思想、言論、出版等自由的呼聲增大。讀者與館方及館員之間的摩擦機會愈增。圖書館實在有必要未雨綢繆先訂定相關條款，一者保障憲法所賦予讀者(國民)的基本人權；一者也保護圖書館及館員的崗位立場，使其免受外界之干擾或威脅。美國的圖書館權利法案及相關之措施都是防範未然的法律行動。其經驗足以我們作為借鏡。(作者)

題名: 終端使用之線上修改行為探討

摘要: 本研究探討終端使用者的修改行為，這些終端使用者使用線上檢索系統的動機是解答自己的研究問題。本研究的終端使用者共有44位，其中包括40位學生和4位教職員。他們在接受過30分鐘的課堂教學或錄影帶課程訓練後，總共完成79次檢索，透過仔細閱讀和分析檢索過程中的時索，透過仔細閱讀和分析檢索過程中的時間紀錄，總共找出191種修改原因，這些修改原因分布相當分散。至於修改行為發生的位置，絕大多數都是發生在「建立與發展檢索組」及「顯示列印」兩種功能、指令和要素上。同時，大多數的修改行為都是屬於立即察覺的錯誤，而且檢索者的記憶組織容量都不大。若探討時間經驗和修改行為的關係，則發現修改次數不會因為時間經驗的增加而減少，但一次修改所需的時間卻會隨著時間經驗的增加而減少。(作者)

摘要: 遼代禁止書籍外流，違者處死。是以遼代印刷物存者甚少。1974年前，學者大多認為遼代印刷品已無存世者。但在1974年夏，山西應縣佛宮寺木塔中發現一批遼代印刷品，紙張均係朝鮮製。去年(1994)十月間，又在內蒙發現一批遼代文物；中有雕印小本佛經及銅版刻製之吉祥物。這些新發現的遼文物均屬遼興宗時代，約公元十一世紀；這些銅版吉祥物可能影響了日後朝鮮銅活字的使用。遼版圖廣闊，位於中原之北，對中華文化之外傳必定曾有媒介作用。(作者)
