中文摘要 | 近年來大專校院專利活動逐年升高且快速增加,專利資訊的使用者逐漸從專利專家擴展到教師與研究人員。根據相關研究結果顯示,專利活動與專利資訊使用具有明顯的相關。本研究訪談專利活動力高之大專校院教師,以暸解教師技術研發歷程及探索歷程中之專利資訊行為。 研究發現,大專校院教師技術研發歷程包括概念發展、方案評估、設計與實作及研究成果產出四個階段,每一階段有其特定任務,教師在各階段中可能採取不同複雜程度的資訊搜尋行動,以及產生不同的想法與感受。技術研發歷程各階段間呈現非固定線性關係與循環特性等特徵。 研究亦發現,教師在研發歷程的各階段中對於專利資訊有不同的需求。教師普遍認為專利說明書是重要的專利資訊類型,並以書目資訊所記載的摘要及圖示作為判斷專利資訊是否相關的主要依據。教師多利用免費專利資料庫進行檢索,關鍵字結合布林邏輯檢索是教師較常使用的檢索技巧,在不同階段可觀察到教師採取不同的檢索方式。教師對專利資訊的利用以閱讀技術內容為主,少數教師會利用專利資訊進行系統化專利分析與佈局。 受訪的十位教師中,有七位教師認同專利資訊在技術研發情境中有其重要性,而在研發歷程的不同階段,專利資訊對教師從事技術研發具有不同程度與層面的影響。研究發現,影響教師技術研發歷程中專利資訊使用的因素包括環境因素,如:學校性質、政策支持等;個人因素,如:個人專利活動、研究目的等;資訊特性因素,包括資訊來源太多及掌握專利資訊內涵的困難。 |
外文摘要 | It has been observed that the researchers from the academic sector become patent- active. The patent experts are not the only users of patent information, but university teachers and researchers also start to demand patent information service. In this study, the researcher interviewed the patent-active college teachers to understand the process of their research and development (R&D), and their patent information behavior under the context of R&D. The results show that there are four phases of R&D process, including initiation, evaluation, implementation, and representation. In each phase, the teachers encountered different tasks and various levels of information seeking activities were taken place. The college teachers also had different feelings and thoughts towards the process. It is found that the identified four phases are not necessarily presented in a linear way, but otherwise in a recurrent manner. During the process, the teachers might have different needs for patent information. It is typically observed that the teachers tended to use free resources for obtaining patent information; keywords combined with Boolean Logic Operators are seach tactics commonly used, and different types of strategies could be employed in various phases. Most teachers only browsed and readed content of patent information such as front page, abstract and drawings; in contrast, only few teachers conducted systematic analysis of patent information. Seven out of ten interviewees agreed on the importance of patent information in the process of R&D. The results show that patent information has different levels of impact on the research process, and the factors influencing use behavior of patent information are also discovered. The factors are composed of environmental factors, such as the traits of the acdemices and their policy; personal factors, such as individual patent activities and the purpose of research; finally, information characteristic factors, for example, the complexity of the source of patent information and the difficulty to understand contents of patent information. |
