Hello Library Directors and Information Professionals:
I hope that you are doing well. I’m Sophia Harrison, Director of Graduate Studies in the School of Library and Information Sciences, at North Carolina Central University. I’m reaching out to you as a member of the Library Professional and Paraprofessional community.
Our university is gearing up for the Spring 2014 semester. The deadline for submitting applications for Spring 2014 in our program is Friday, December 6, 2013. I wanted to provide a point of contact if any of your colleagues, students, family or members of your community were interested in pursuing their MLS or their MIS degrees.
You may visit our website at http://www.nccuslis.org for more information about our program.
Most of our programs can be completed totally online. There are scholarships available through ALA for Library Science graduate students and also for Information Science graduate students through organizations such as NSF. For those who may be interested in relocating to North Carolina for our program, we do offer some graduate assistantships that cover tuition (excludes fees) and provides a stipend.
In order to qualify, you must first be accepted and admitted into the program.
If there is anyone you know who may be interested in our MLS or MIS program, you may pass along my contact information, listed below. Thank you so much for your time.
Best,
Sophia E. Harrison
