To Whom It May Concern,
I am honored to announce the 11th Annual Library Leadership Institute which will be held in Taipei from 10-14 May 2013, in conjunction with National Central Library, Taiwan.
The theme of the 11th Institute is “Repositioning Libraries and Librarians for the Next Generation”. This annual event has two major goals: to develop and enhance library leadership and management skills and to facilitate contact and collaboration between library leaders throughout Asia as well as those involved in Asian librarianship internationally.
The facilitators/presenters of the 11th Institute include:
- Mr. Marshall Breeding, Independent Consultant, Speaker, and Author
- Dr. Mei-hwa Yang, Professor, Graduate Institute of Library, Information & Archival Studies, National Chengchi University, Taiwan
- Mr. Howard Amos, University Librarian, Otago University, New Zealand
- Mr. Keith Webster, Vice-President and Director of Academic Relations and Strategy, John Wiley & Son
- and myself
The costs for the institute cover instructor fees, course materials, four nights lodging, breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Applicants may apply for a partial scholarship by checking the Scholarship Requested Box on the application form and attaching a brief statement indicating why financial support is critically needed.
Applications must be received by 1 February 2013. Those accepted into the program will be notified by 8 February 2013. A cheque (HK dollars or US dollars) for the full cost of the workshop will be due by 15 March 2013.
