·Accepting applications for the Bogle Pratt Award and Humphry Award
Bogle Pratt Award - Accepting applications for the 2011 Bogle Pratt International Library Travel Fund sponsored by the Bogle Memorial Fund and the Pratt Institute School of Information and Library Science. An award of $1,000 is given to an ALA personal member to attend their first international conference. Deadline: January 1, 2011.
Humphry Award - Humphry/OCLC/ Nominations Sought For Humphry/OCLC/Forest Press Award for International Librarianship. The award consists of a prize of $1,000 and a certificate, which are presented at the International Relations Round Table Reception at the ALA Annual Conference. The award is given to a librarian or person who has made significant contributions to international librarianship. Deadline: January 1, 2011.
·Call for International Paper Session
The IRRT International Papers Committee invites proposals for presentations to be made at the next ALA Annual Conference in New Orleans. Presentations will be delivered at the International Papers Session scheduled for Saturday, June 25, 2011.
The International Papers Program provides librarians with an opportunity to exchange information about library services, collections and projects throughout the world. The program also serves to stimulate the interest of U.S. librarians in international library matters. Through its International Papers Committee, ALA’s International Relations Round Table (IRRT) invites librarians to submit a presentation proposal. The 2011 International Papers Program theme is Literacy Programs in Libraries around the Globe.
Deadline: December 27, 2010.

·Call for Papers for the ALA International Relations Roundtable (IRRT) Preconference
The IRRT Preconference Committee invites proposals for presentations from librarians and administrators from libraries of all sectors. Based on this year’s theme, Outreach through New Partnership: Strategies and Successes, the IRRT Preconference Committee is interested in presentation proposals that emphasize one or more of the following areas: practical case study, application of unique outreach models, successful implementation of creative programs, and summaries of library strategies and approaches to developing sustainable partnerships with local organizations.
Please submit your proposal electronically to Paula Smith, Co-Chair of the IRRT Preconference Committee, pms20@psu.edu, no later than February 1, 2011.
